- Psychotherapist & Creative Arts Therapist -
Diego (he/they) is a psychotherapist and creative arts therapist who supports children, teens, and adults through creativity, in both English and Spanish. From Colombia, living in Naarm (Melbourne, Vic) since 2022, Diego brings a deep understanding and interest in embodied approaches through expressivity.
His practice is centred on agency, authenticity and collaboration, offering an inviting space where curiosity and trust lead the way in exploring life's challenges. Diego has a particular interest in supporting those navigating grief, life transitions, neurodivergence, migration and reacculturation, spiritual questioning, and anxiety. Diego has an integrative approach where all parts of you are welcome, and your experience is honoured and acknowledged.
Diego brings his lived experience as a migrant and as an English-as-a-second-language learner, with an understanding of the particularities of the intersectional identities that emerge throughout the journey. With a background in the performing arts, Diego hones creativity as essential to understanding ourselves, the world around us, and the roles we play in different contexts.
Diego is a PACFA Certified Practising Counsellor and member of the CCET (College of Creative and Experiential Therapies).
